Highland County Community Action Organization, Inc. is accepting applications for a 24 – 40
hours per week, Senior Programs Coordinator position for the agency Senior Nutrition
program. This position will bring awareness of community needs and promote HCCAO, Inc.
services at public events throughout the county. The Senior Programs Coordinator will assist in
the kitchen as needed along with the planning of social activities and workshops for congregate
site. This position requires making home visits to eligible seniors, assessing needs, complete
applications, determine eligibility and making referrals for services within the county.
A requirement for this position is driving clients to the congregate meal site as well as special
trips to zoo, movies, bowling, etc. Applicants must be familiar with Highland and surrounding
counties and comfortable driving in heavy traffic at some locations. Some of our clients are
wheelchair bound, so applicants should be able to lift over 40 pounds, stoop, bend and push
with no restrictions and be willing to learn to operate the vehicle ramp systems.
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid Ohio Drivers License and be
insurable under the agency fleet insurance policy. Applicants must have compassion for county
