Job Summary:
The Highland County Board of DD is hiring a full-time Service Support Administrator (SSA) to support individuals with developmental disabilities. This position will primarily focus on children and youth transitioning to adulthood but may also include working with adults. We’re looking for someone who is a strong communicator, takes initiative, and enjoys working with families, schools, providers, and other community agencies. This is a dynamic role in a field that is always growing and changing. We need someone who is open to learning, flexible, and passionate about helping others.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist individuals and families/guardians in exploring and accessing services from various funding sources
- Develop Individual Service Plans (ISPs) through a team process that reflects each person’s unique needs and goals
- Collaborate with schools, community organizations, and service providers to meet the needs of those served
- Advocate for inclusive opportunities and resources that empower young individuals to thrive in their communities
- Assist individuals in choosing service providers and ensure services are working well.
- Monitor services and adjust plans as needed.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
- Stay informed about changes in the field and participate in ongoing training.

Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Education, Psychology, or a related field.
- Must meet SSA qualifications as defined by the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities.
- Willing to complete first aid/CPR
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Must pass a criminal background check as required by the Ohio Revised Code
Probationary Period:
- All new hires will complete a 180-day probationary period.
