The Highland County Board of Developmental Disabilities (HCBDD) is seeking a full-time Preschool Teacher and/or Intervention Specialist and/or Itinerant Teacher for our program for the 2025-2026 school year.
The preschool teacher (general education/intervention specialist) is responsible for providing instruction in the classroom. This classroom could include up to eight students with an IEP whose Least Restrictive Environment is a general education classroom type. The capacity is twenty students. Preschool is in session from 9:00-3:00 pm, Monday through Thursday.
The classroom has two educational paraprofessionals to assist with classroom needs.
An itinerant preschool teacher would be responsible for providing services (per student IEP) for the students in the general education classroom.
